According to the Aperture (Los Angeles issue in 2015) Mull has collaborated with the aesthetics and conceptual categories and sections within multiple newspapers (Although whilst reading through this article there is no mention on which newspapers they were). Furthermore, he has worked in different areas such as photo agencies, fashion houses, film studios, advertising firms which capitalises on the production of the image.
From this Mull looks at alternative ways of getting his images out there in an unpredictable time-frame, which you could say represents how we use consumerism in a capitalist society to our advantage, in a pandemic when we can’t socialise. In 2018, Mull obviously didn’t expect a pandemic in the near future. He was looking at ways to expanded our views on capitalism whether that meant fashion or photography. It revealed that we are all connected in good times and in bad.
This research has helping me understand consumerism and how society is surrounded by opportunities of capitalism and spending. However, the past few lockdowns shows us how much we rely on both the high street as well as the online society, as we remain stuck within our screens.

Here are few magazine covers which gave me inspiration in what kind of editor I would like to be after graduation. What I liked about these covers in particular was the style, however Garage was the first magazine I ever bought when I was around 14 years old and inspired me to start thinking about a creative career.

AS TIME PASSES
The problem with the test prints shown, were that they were too dark and the portraits didn’t exactly fit with the theme of generation through my little-known fathers’ past. Although they were beautifully crafted and representative of time through the usage of clouds collectively, they did not have a purpose or knowledgeable narrative which showed personal representation about who I am and where my past, present and future lies within my family history.
Furthermore, the images are great as stand alone’s, however when you add them into a video the images seem somehow become lost in the movement, remaining better as images stuck in the moment. This does not mean they are lost for good as they are can be the basis of a future project or even publication of unseen portraits of time. However, these are a few images I take pride in and I believe that they are worthy to be seen even if they remain just for the purpose of this blog.
